La Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Salud (OMS) y la Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional del Trabajo (OIT) destacaron que la modalidad de teletrabajar cambi\u00f3 patrones tradiciones de empleo y, en muchos casos, se instal\u00f3 para quedarse o para formar parte de un modelo \u201ch\u00edbrido\u201d que ofrece numerosas ventajas, pero tambi\u00e9n peligros para la salud, por lo que es\u00a0urgente regularlo con el fin de proteger a los trabajadores. <\/p> \n

En un informe t\u00e9cnico las agencias de la ONU se\u00f1ala que el teletrabajo\u00a0bien organizado mejora del equilibrio entre la vida laboral y la personal, ofrece la posibilidad de un horario flexible y de realizar actividad f\u00edsica, y ahorra el tiempo dedicado a transportarse. <\/p> \n

Adem\u00e1s, estudios recientes reportan una\u00a0menor incidencia de la hipertensi\u00f3n arterial y estr\u00e9s, menor tendencia a la depresi\u00f3n y mayor bienestar emocional debido a la convivencia familiar de calidad, as\u00ed como el consumo de dietas m\u00e1s saludables porque se preparan los alimentos en casa. <\/p> \n

Por otra parte, el trabajo remoto\u00a0disminuye la contaminaci\u00f3n atmosf\u00e9rica\u00a0y los tiempos de desplazamiento, lo que tambi\u00e9n contribuye a mejorar la salud f\u00edsica y mental y el bienestar social. <\/p> \n

Asimismo, el teletrabajo puede conseguir un\u00a0aumento de la productividad\u00a0y una reducci\u00f3n de los costos operativos para muchas empresas. <\/p> \n

Sin embargo, el trabajo a distancia\u00a0sin planificaci\u00f3n, asistencia y seguridad sanitaria\u00a0tambi\u00e9n conlleva riesgos entre los que resaltan las dolencias f\u00edsicas, como los musculoesquel\u00e9ticos y la fatiga visual, derivadas del trabajo prolongado en la computadora, que tambi\u00e9n ocurren trabajando en una oficina si no se cuenta con una estaci\u00f3n de trabajo ergon\u00f3mica. <\/p> \n

Finalmente, el informe agrega que los servicios de salud laboral deben estar capacitados para prestar\u00a0asistencia en salud ergon\u00f3mica, mental y psicosocial\u00a0a quienes trabajan a distancia, mediante tecnolog\u00edas digitales de telesalud. <\/p> \n
